Les Rosiers provides comfortable accommodation for Self Catering Holidays, near Lascaux & Sarlat in the Dordogne.
It sleeps up to 6 people (two doubles and one twin bedded) and
each room has its own shower room and ceiling fan.
The kitchen and living area is spacious. There is a luxury fitted kitchen including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, large fridge and freezer for easy living.
There is comfortable seating in the lounge area which has TV, DVD player, audio unit and there’s games and books too. A wood-burning stove and central heating ensure comfort all year round.
The 8m x 4m salt water swimming pool is “amazing”, to quote our guests. It’s sheltered in a huge, light, airy sechoir - a traditional tobacco drying barn - its louvre-sides open to let in sunlight whilst still giving protection from harmful rays. It’s available May - mid-October and is around 25 degrees - very comfortable. Last year, one family chose Les Rosiers because they wanted their children to swim as much as possible.
The house is in a delightful rural setting, but it’s only 5 kms from lively Montignac-sur-Vezere which has Wednesday and Saturday markets, 18 kms from Sarlat (a huge Saturday market!), 25 kms from Brive, 20 kms from Les Eyzies – there’s lots of places to visit there, including the recently opened National Museum of Prehistory.
The Vezere River is only 250 metres away - the fishing is excellent - you need a permit (which we can organise for you).
