Les Eyzies




Les Eyzies is known as the World Capital of Prehisotyr and is home to the National Museum of Prehistory - it has a wonderful collection of artefacts from sites some of which you can see during a visit.  It has a (complicated!) timeline starting 400,000 years ago - take a Tour with Steve Burman as your guide/interpreter and it will all make sense! 2010 saw the opening of the Pole de Prehistoire - a state of the art visitor centre, so called because the world of prehistory revolves around it.

Les Eyzies is also home to the site where Cro-Magnons, modern humans (us!) were first discovered - Steve will take you there too.
